Attorney Sara Bigman Elected Secretary of Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association
Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is proud to announce that Attorney Sara Bigman has been elected Secretary of the Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) as of February 19, 2026.
“I am excited and honored to serve on the executive board of CELA, which is comprised of employment lawyers who represent individual employees in a variety of employment-related matters,” Sara explained. “I look forward to working with my skilled colleagues to increase resources available to attorneys who provide quality representation to employees bringing discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and similar claims.”
CELA is a nonprofit organization of Connecticut employment law attorneys dedicated to providing quality representation to employees and vindicating employees’ rights. It supports this mission by promoting public awareness, providing education and professional development, and fostering collaboration among attorneys who represent employees.
In addition to serving as CELA Board Secretary, Attorney Bigman also serves as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.
Attorney Bigman joined Cohen and Wolf as an Associate Attorney in September 2023 and is part of the firm’s Employment Counseling & Litigation and Litigation & Dispute Resolution groups. She regularly represents both employees and employers in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies such as the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, wage and hour, non-compete, and harassment cases. Attorney Bigman also counsels employers on a variety of employment-related issues that may arise throughout the lifecycle of the employment relationship, from hiring through termination.
Attorney Bigman has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Commercial Litigation (2026), Litigation - Labor and Employment (2026), and Litigation - Trusts and Estates (2026). She has also been named to the Connecticut Super Lawyers® "Rising Star" lists for Civil Litigation: Plaintiff (2025) and Employment Litigation: Plaintiff (2024). Attorney Bigman is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.
