Phil Pires Re-Elected to Bridgeport DSSD Board of Commissioners

Phil Pires, a Principal at Cohen and Wolf, P.C., has been re-elected to serve as a Commissioner of the Downtown Special Services District (DSSD) in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  Phil's re-election was announced at the DSSD's annual meeting on May 11, 2022.  Phil will serve a three-year term that begins on July 1, 2022.

The DSSD is a special taxing district that is governed by a board of nine commissioners who are elected by downtown property owners. Through an assortment of programs and services, the DSSD supports economic development and equitable growth in Bridgeport’s downtown commercial corridor.

Phil has served on the Board of Commissioners of the DSSD since 2016.  He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, a position he has held since 2018.  Previously, he served as Vice Chairman (2017-2018) and Treasurer (2016-2017) of the DSSD.
