Cohen and Wolf Attorneys Collaborate with Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders Group

12.01.2023

Recently, Attorneys Emilio Estrella, Jocelyn Hurwitz, Robyn Drucker, and Stuart Katz joined students at Central High School in Bridgeport in collaboration with the Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders SUCCESS program. The SUCCESS Program stands for “Students Understand College and Career Expectations” and is a six-week program intended to empower young adults with knowledge to help them identify their post-secondary goals, and to provide them with the tools to succeed.

SUCCESS Program participants eagerly and attentively worked with Cohen and Wolf attorneys over the course of two sessions in October and November. During the first session, the attorneys discussed the basics of interviewing etiquette, including interview preparation and presentation skills.

In the second session, the attorneys shared information about various careers within the legal field and then met with individual students for mock interviews.  After each mock interview, students received personalized feedback on their resumes, personal value statements and interview skills.

Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders group’s mission is “To provide youth with sports, educational and civic direction helping them build the character and self-esteem they need to reach their full potential and value in society.”

Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is grateful to be connected to this important group through Attorney Emilio Estrella.

“Having benefitted from initiatives like BCYL’s SUCCESS program on my way to becoming an attorney, I know what a difference early guidance and mentorship can make,” said Attorney Estrella. “I’m proud of Cohen and Wolf for always giving me the opportunity to pay it forward and help shape the next generation of Bridgeport leaders.”

“Cohen and Wolf, P.C. has a long history of active participation in our local communities, “said Attorney Robyn Drucker.  “It is important for us develop these connections and to give back.  We are proud to support the BCYL in its mission of educating, mentoring, and training the next generation of leaders for Bridgeport and beyond”.
