Cohen and Wolf, P.C. Supports Operation Hope’s Program to Help End Hunger and Homelessness
On Thursday, September 25th, Cohen and Wolf, P.C. once again partnered with Operation Hope to support its Bag Lunch Distribution Program. Attorneys and staff prepared about 50 sandwiches and packed lunches that included fruit, drinks and snacks—all donated by the firm—for our neighbors in need. Operation Hope’s food pantry plays a vital role in providing nutritious meals, particularly on weekends when the organization’s Community Kitchen is closed.
“Operation Hope’s food pantry is supplied mostly by donations, and I’m glad that Cohen and Wolf could help provide lunches to those in need. It’s important to give back and serve your community, and I believe that programs like this make a real impact,” said Attorney Sarah Munro, a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, who organized the service project.
Operation Hope offers a comprehensive set of services designed to help end hunger and homelessness, one person at a time. Its Homeless Resource Center focuses on outreach, and their Supportive Affordable Housing provides safe, permanent rental housing for formerly homeless families and individuals.
The Food Pantry distributes more than 123,000 meals each year and serves over 800 local families and individuals each month. In addition to food, the pantry supplies essential items such as toiletries—helping to ensure that no one in the community has to worry about basic necessities.
Cohen and Wolf’s participation in community service initiatives reflects the firm's long-standing dedication to the Greater Bridgeport area. Many of the firm's attorneys are actively involved in in local academic, civic, cultural, political, and religious organizations.
