Cohen and Wolf Attorney Michael S. Rosten Recognized as Volunteer of the Year by Aspetuck Land Trust

Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is proud to announce that Attorney Michael S. Rosten has been named “Volunteer of the Year” on June 18, 2025 by Aspetuck Land Trust at its Annual Meeting and Member Celebration held at Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Westport. Each year, the organization recognizes individuals whose outstanding efforts support the protection of natural resources, the restoration of ecosystems, and the building of a more resilient future.

This year, Attorney Rosten was honored for his longstanding pro bono legal service to Aspetuck Land Trust, where his counsel has played a role in supporting the organization’s mission – to preserve land forever and connect people to the natural world. Attorney Rosten’s contributions included resolving complex title issues, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and facilitating closings.

In a June 18th press release announcing the award, Aspetuck Land Trust extended its deepest thanks to Attorney Rosten and Cohen and Wolf for their generous and continued support in the important work of protecting land forever and connecting people to the natural world.

Aspetuck Land Trust is a non-profit membership organization that has as preserved over 2,200 acres of land in Fairfield County since 1966. The organization relies on a dedicated network of volunteers to help fulfill its mission. Aspetuck has stated that Attorney Rosten’s expertise and dedication have had a lasting impact on land conservation across the region.

Attorney Rosten, Of Counsel, is part of the Cohen and Wolf’s Real Estate and Common Interest Communities practice groups. He focuses on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate, providing counsel to homeowners, developers, banks, mortgage companies and landlords throughout Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Attorney Rosten has drafted many sets of condominium documents while representing developers across the State of Connecticut. He is also a licensed title insurance agent and real estate salesperson. He is resident in the firm’s Westport office.

Attorney Rosten has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate Law (2024 - 2025) and has achieved a current AV® Preeminent™ Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

As an award-winning community volunteer and leader, Attorney Rosten has served on numerous non-profit boards and committees over the years, including as Board Chair of Operation Hope of Fairfield and as the First Chairman of the Volunteer Center of Greater Bridgeport. He has also served on the Boards of the United Way of Eastern Fairfield County, the American Red Cross of Eastern Fairfield County, Micah Housing, Congregation Beth El in Fairfield (past President and Man of the Year honoree), Regional Network of Programs, Inc., (President and Board Chairman), and the Prospect House Homeless Shelter Advisory Committee.
