04.01.2026

Cohen and Wolf is proud to announce that Attorney Madeline Diamont has been appointed to the Board of the Barnum Museum Foundation, where she will serve a three-year term. Her appointment became effective December 15, 2025.

“Serving the Barnum Museum in my capacity as a board member has given me the opportunity to act on my appreciation for the arts and the Bridgeport community,” Diamont explained. “The Barnum Museum is a portal to an exciting world—one we can admire and learn from through its history. I deeply value the opportunity to contribute to the resurgence of this national landmark. I look forward to growing from the lessons I will learn while serving on the board.”

The Barnum Museum Foundation operates The Barnum Museum and its related gallery with a mission to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence through instructive entertainment. The Barnum Museum, the leading authority on Phineas Taylor Barnum’s life and work, houses a collection of more than 60,000 artifacts related to Barnum, Bridgeport, and 19th-century America. Originally financed by Barnum in 1891 as a shared home for several local societies, the Museum has played a vital role in the region’s cultural history for over a century. Though currently closed to the public due to structural damage from natural disasters, it remains the last surviving building in Bridgeport attributed to Barnum and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2023. Ongoing restoration efforts, undertaken in collaboration with community partners, experts, donors, and BRC Imagination Arts, are re-envisioning the Museum for the future, with plans to reopen its M&T gallery to visitors in the near term.

Attorney Diamont joined Cohen and Wolf as an Associate in the fall of 2025 and is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Municipal groups. Her practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including land use, collections, and condominium disputes. Attorney Diamont has also conducted significant research in employment law, landlord-tenant disputes, real property, and the Freedom of Information Act. During law school, she focused her extracurricular studies on intellectual property, particularly trademark and copyright law. Attorney Diamont earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
