Attorney Greta E. Solomon Honored for 50 Years of Admission to the Bar by the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association

Solomon on being honored by the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association in recognition of her 50 years of admission to the bar at the GBBA 2026 Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony, held May 14 at Blackhawk Country Club in Stratford. Greta’s decades of dedication to trusts and estates, elder law, and the Connecticut legal community have made a lasting impact. We are honored to celebrate this remarkable milestone, as well as her many professional achievements and contributions to the community.
The Greater Bridgeport Bar Association Annual Dinner is the Association’s largest annual event. Held each May, it serves as a formal celebration of the past year, a look ahead to the future, and an opportunity to honor outstanding members of the Greater Bridgeport legal community.
Greta Solomon is chair of Cohen and Wolf's Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, and Tax Groups. With decades of experience, she assists clients in the areas of estate planning, elder law, and probate administration, including estates, trusts, conservatorships, and guardianships.
Greta is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Greta serves on the Board of Directors of Marrakech, Inc., an organization that provides person-centered and unique human services for individuals with and without disabilities throughout Connecticut. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of her synagogue, Or Shalom, located in Orange, CT. Greta is a frequent lecturer on topics related to estate planning and special needs trusts and regularly participates in continuing legal education programs sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Association and the Bridgeport Bar Association.
Recently Greta, along with members of the Advisory Committee on the Connecticut Probate Court Rules of Procedure, received the 2026 Daniel F. Caruso Public Service Award for exceptional commitment to the mission of the Probate Courts. Greta is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© (2013-2026) for her work in the areas of Tax Law, Elder Law, and Trusts and Estates, and in 2022 and 2024, Greta was named "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers in America® for her work in Elder Law in the Stamford, Connecticut Metro area. She is named to Connecticut Super Lawyers (2007-2026) for her work in Estate & Probate and was selected as a "Top 25 Women Connecticut Super Lawyer" (2013-2018 and 2020-2023) and as a "Top 50 Women New England Super Lawyer" (2017-2018 and 2020).
