Denise’s practice includes estate planning through the drafting and execution of wills, trusts, advance healthcare directives, and powers of attorney; probate matters involving decedents’ estates, conservatorships, testamentary trusts, and guardianships; and elder law matters such as Title XIX applications, asset protection strategies, pooled trusts, and special needs trusts.

After several years as a successful business owner, Denise pursued her dream of a legal career. Following her graduation in 2010 from Quinnipiac University School of Law, she practiced as a Trusts & Estates associate at a Milford, Connecticut, law firm until its dissolution in the summer of 2013. She then established her solo practice, The Law Offices of Denise A. Mortati, LLC.

Active in her community, Denise serves as an advisory board member of the Connecticut Senior Care Council. She is also a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and PLAN of Connecticut, a Connecticut-based organization that administers special needs trusts.

Denise earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her B.A. from St. Francis College.
