Alexander Copp Recognized as a "New Leader in the Law" by the Connecticut Law Tribune

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.  – The law firm of Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is pleased to announce that Alexander Copp has been recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as a “New Leader in the Law”.

This is the Connecticut Law Tribune’s sixth annual Professional Excellence Awards event. Recognized individuals come from a broad range of backgrounds, including the private sector, government and non-profit work, and from varying career levels from rookie to managing partner. The “New Leaders in the Law” award recognizes attorneys who have excelled in one or more of the following categories: the courtroom, client service and cultivation, service to bar associations, pro bono work and/or community service. Mr. Copp was among 24 attorneys recognized this year as a “New Leader in the Law”. Candidates were nominated from law firms throughout the state of Connecticut and the selection process included a rigorous internal review. All Professional Excellence Award recipients will be honored at the Connecticut Legal Awards Dinner to be held at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville on a date to be determined.*

Mr. Copp is a member of several of Cohen and Wolf’s practice groups, including Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Municipal, Land Use & Zoning, Appellate, and Employment & Labor. Resident in the firm’s Danbury office, Mr. Copp advises individuals, businesses and municipalities in a wide range of matters involving land use, landlord-tenant disputes, probate litigation, defamation, employment discrimination and business litigation, and he has experience in both state and federal courts.

In addition to be named a “New Leader in the Law”, Mr. Copp is also recognized by Connecticut Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” (2018-2019). He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and previously served as Chair of the Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Executive Committee. Mr. Copp earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University, magna cum laude, and his B.A. from University of West Florida, magna cum laude.  His is admitted to practice in both Connecticut and New York.
