Attorney Pires  teaches "Economics for Success"

On February 13, 2020, Attorney Phil Pires taught a Junior Achievement (JA) in a Day program to a seventh grade class at Classical Studies Magnet Academy in Bridgeport. JA is a nonprofit organization that provides volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs that foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills. JA-in-a Day is a focused program that delivers JA's lessons for a particular grade level in a single day. The program that Attorney Pires taught was entitled “Economics for Success,” and it focused on the importance of exploring career options based on their skills, interests, and values. Students also learned about spending money within a budget; saving and investing wisely; and using credit cautiously. Attorney Pires previously taught JA classes in Bridgeport, Fairfield, and Stratford.
