About the Speakers

Attorney Tatiana F. DaSilva is a Principal in Cohen and Wolf's Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, and Tax Groups. She represents individual clients looking to develop and implement estate plans that preserve and transmit assets while meeting personal and family goals.  In addition to Tatiana’s experience in estate planning and estate administration, she assists her clients in navigating elder law issues, such as conservatorships, supplemental needs trusts and Medicaid applications.

Tatiana serves on the Executive Committee and the CLE Committee of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and is a member of Plan of Connecticut, a Connecticut-based organization that administers special needs trusts. Tatiana is a graduate of Class II of the New England Fellows Institute of the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).

Tatiana has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America^® for Elder Law (2027), Best Lawyers in America^® for Trusts and Estates (2027), Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^® in America for Trusts and Estates (2021-2026), and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^® in America, Elder Law (2026). Attorney Ellen R. Sutliffe Hain is a Principal in Cohen and Wolf's Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, and Tax Groups. She assists her clients in meeting their estate planning goals and protecting their assets for their loved ones.

Ellen has significant experience in navigating the complicated long-term care system, and preparing for and filing Medicaid long-term care applications. She regularly works with clients who are able to plan for asset preservation, as well as those who must act immediately to access public benefits systems.

Ellen currently serves as a board member of the CT Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and serves on the Board of Directors of MoCA CT (Museum of Contemporary Art). Ellen is a graduate of Class II of the New England Fellows Institute of the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
