Tim represents individuals, businesses, developers, and municipalities in a variety of land use and litigation matters.
Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, P.C., Tim served as the 27th First Selectman of the Town of Trumbull from 2009 to 2017. Elected as the youngest First Selectman in the town’s history at the age of 29, Tim led a remarkable turnaround that resulted in Trumbull being rated one of the most desirable communities in Connecticut to live, work, and raise a family. During his tenure as First Selectman, Trumbull’s fiscal health improved, the local economy grew each year, and the Town’s school system earned national recognition. Tim’s accomplishments resulted in Trumbull being ranked nationally by Realtor.com as one of the top ten most in demand school systems in the nation, the only town in Fairfield County to receive this distinction. In 2011, Family Circle Magazine ranked Trumbull the seventh best town in the United States to raise a family, and in 2013, Coldwell Banker ranked Trumbull as the top booming community in the State of Connecticut.
In addition to his service as First Selectman, Tim served 11 years on the Trumbull Planning and Zoning Commission, including four years as Chairman. During his tenure, Tim led comprehensive revisions of the town’s Plan of Conservation and Development and its zoning regulations.
Tim is a former member of the Trumbull Rotary Club, the Pace Law School Alumni Board of Director, and a current member of the Trinity Club of Fairfield County.
