Attorney Marc J. Herman Recognized as a "New Leader in the Law" by the Connecticut Law Tribune


BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (May 12, 2021) – The law firm of Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is pleased to announce that Attorney Marc J. Herman, an associate with the firm, was recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as a “New Leader in the Law”.  Connecticut Law Tribune’s annual Professional Excellence Awards event recognizes individuals from across the state who come from a broad range of backgrounds, including the private sector, and government and non-profit organizations.  Mr. Herman was among 26 individuals recognized this year as a “New Leader in the Law”

Mr. Herman is a member of Cohen and Wolf’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Securities, and Appellate practice groups.  Resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office, Mr. Herman focuses his practice on a wide range of commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, ranging from intra-company conflicts and contractual disputes to business torts. Mr. Herman also handles securities-related matters, with experience representing broker-dealers and investors in FINRA arbitrations and regulatory investigations.

A native Englishman, Mr. Herman started his legal career in the United Kingdom, before emigrating to the United States and making Connecticut his home.  He and his family currently reside in Fairfield County.

In addition to being named a “New Leader in the Law”, Mr. Herman  is also recognized by Connecticut Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” (2019-2020) for his work in Business Litigation, and by Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” for his work in the Litigation-Labor & Employment arena. 

Mr. Herman earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws, L.L.B., with honors, from The Nottingham Trent University in England.  He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.  Mr. Herman is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, as well as the American Bar, Fairfield Bar and Bridgeport Bar Associations.
