Cohen and Wolf Welcomes 2021 Summer Associates

06.07.2021

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Cohen and Wolf is pleased to welcome Emilio A. Estrella and Delvone A. Davis to our 2021 Summer Associate Program.  Cohen and Wolf’s highly selective and competitive Summer Associate Program provides an opportunity for law school students to work in a fast-paced law firm environment where they can gain practical legal skills and exposure to private practice.

The firm is very pleased to offer our 2021 Summer Associate Program, notwithstanding the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.  In light of the firm’s ongoing remote operations, Cohen and Wolf’s traditional in-person summer program has been restructured into a hybrid program, which will include invaluable training through virtual and in-person meetings, external proceedings and various networking and social events.

Emilio is currently a law student at University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford, Connecticut, where he is the Secretary for the Intellectual Property and Technology Society, and is a Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association Law Student Representative.  Emilio has been an active participant on numerous competition teams including the 2021 Hispanic National Bar Association National Moot Court team, the 2020 American Bar Association Arbitration Competition team, and the 2020 National All Star Mock Trial team.  He also serves as a Teaching Assistant for the UConn School of Law’s Legal Profession Department.  Emilio’s experience includes work as a Youth Programs Director at the Center for Latino Progress in Hartford, a Legislative Intern for the Office of Senator Richard Blumenthal, a lobbyist for MGM International, and as a Legal Fellow for the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity.  Prior to attending law school, Emilio earned a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management from Eastern Connecticut State University.  Emilio resides in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Delvone is currently in the JD/MBA program at Quinnipiac University School of Law in North Haven, Connecticut.  Prior to attending law school, Delvone attended Western Connecticut State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice and Law Administration.  While attending WCSU, Delvone had the opportunity to study abroad for a year at Vesalius College in Brussels, Belgium.  He also worked as an intern for a Belgium law firm where his duties included monitoring the European parliament and translating documents from Spanish to English.  Delvone is dedicated to his work with non-profit organizations.  He has volunteered as an El Salvador and Appalachia Immersion Trip Leader, and has worked with New Beginnings Family Academy and the Cardinal Shehan Center.  Delvone resides in Shelton, Connecticut.
