David M. Levine

DAVID M. LEVINE is a principal and chair of Cohen and Wolf, P.C.'s Business & Corporate and Physicians Practices Groups, and a member of the Real Estate Group. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Mr. Levine practices in the areas of business, health care and real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, formation and structural issues related to business entities. He has extensive experience in contract drafting and negotiation and devotes a substantial portion of his practice to the legal relationships among physicians and the entities with whom physicians contract.

Mr. Levine recently completed a two-year term as president of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce and served on the Executive Committee of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC), where his efforts emphasized economic development initiatives within the City of Bridgeport. He was recently elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District, a special taxing district serving that city's downtown. Mr. Levine chaired the Economic Development Committee of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce.

He speaks to business and legal audiences on physician practice issues, the Connecticut Limited Liability Company Act and the Connecticut Business Corporation Act. Mr. Levine is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is a member of the American, New York, Connecticut and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations and the American Health Lawyers Association and Connecticut Health Lawyers Association.

He received his A.B., magna cum laude, in 1983 from Brandeis University and his J.D. in 1986 from Boston University School of Law.
