BARBARA M. SCHELLENBERG AND KAREN WACKERMAN MYERS ARE NAMED OF COUNSEL; JASON A. BUCHSBAUM JOINS THE FIRM

BRIDGEPORT, CT, December 7, 2005 – The Bridgeport-based law firm of Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is pleased to announce that Barbara M. Schellenberg and Karen Wackerman Myers have been named Of Counsel, and Jason A. Buchsbaum has joined the firm.

BARBARA M. SCHELLENBERG is a member of the Litigation Group. Resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office, Ms. Schellenberg practices in the areas of appellate litigation and land use law. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut; the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Ms. Schellenberg is a member of the American, Connecticut and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations.

Active in the community, Ms. Schellenberg is a member of the Board of Directors of Congregation Beth El in Fairfield, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Family Service of Greater Bridgeport for seven years. She also served as a Fresh Air Fund Host from 1993-2001.

Ms. Schellenberg received her B.S. in 1981 from Cornell University and her J.D. in 1986 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as senior editor of the Journal of Comparative Business and Capital Market Law.

KAREN WACKERMAN MYERS is a member of the Business & Corporate and Securities Groups. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport and Westport offices, Ms. Myers practices in the areas of corporate, banking and securities law. She also spends time working from Cohen and Wolf, P.C.’s Westport office. She previously practiced at the law firm of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam and Roberts (now known as Pillsbury Winthrop LLP) in New York City and Stamford, and was Assistant Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Ms. Myers is the author of Rivera v. Marcus: The Due Process Rights of Foster Parents, 50 Brooklyn L. Rev. 483 (Spring 1984) and the co-author with Professor Phillip Blumberg of The Law of Corporate Groups – Procedural Law, 2002 Supplement and The Law of Corporate Groups – Substantive Law, 2002 Supplement. She is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. Ms. Myers is a member of the American, Connecticut and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations.

Active in the community, she is co-chair of the Board of Directors of Nursing and Home Care, Inc.; a member of the Inland Wetlands Commission of the Town of Wilton; and a former member of the Executive Board of the Wilton Congregational Church. Ms. Myers received her A.B. in 1979 from Smith College and her J.D., cum laude, in 1985 from Brooklyn Law School.

JASON A. BUCHSBAUM is an associate in the Litigation Group. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Mr. Buchsbaum practices in the area of commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and is a member of the American, Connecticut, and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations. Mr. Buchsbaum received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 2002 from the George Washington University and his J.D. with high honors in 2005 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
