Cohen and Wolf Welcomes Two UConn Law Students as Summer Associates

Bridgeport, CT, June 25, 2009 - Two promising students from the University of Connecticut School of Law have joined Cohen and Wolf, P.C. as summer associates. Rachel Ginsburg of West Hartford and Brie Kluytenaar of New Haven will be working alongside partners, counsel and associates on various legal matters. Both are expected to graduate in Spring 2010.

"The summer associate program has been an integral part of Cohen and Wolf over the years," said Irving J. Kern, the firm's managing partner. "We are very excited to welcome these two outstanding young women to the Connecticut legal community and the Cohen and Wolf team."

Rachel Ginsburg is the Executive Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lois Tanzer of the New Britain Superior Court. In addition, she spent a summer at the Connecticut Attorney General's Office working in the Employment Rights Department. Ms. Ginsburg earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut with a major in Political Science, graduating summa cum laude. She was a member of the Honors Program and Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Connecticut.

Brie Kluytenaar is a recipient of the Hyman Blumberg Prize Scholarship and is a Senior Articles Editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal. She previously served as a research assistant to Professor Alexandra Lahav at the University of Connecticut School of Law and as a Teaching Fellow at the Hartford Public High School Law and Government Academy, where she helped design and teach a four-week program for high school students focusing on constitutional law, civil rights, and trial advocacy. Ms. Kluytenaar earned her Bachelor's Degree from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. She graduated with a major in Critical Social Thought.
