Cohen and Wolf Attorney Announces State Senate Bid

As reported on the cover of the Orange Bulletin on May 9, Vincent M. Marino, principal at Cohen and Wolf, announced his candidacy for State Senate. Mr. Marino is running against State Senator Gayle Slossberg, D-Milford, in the 14th senatorial district, which includes Milford, Orange and parts of West Haven.

A former Republican town chairman, Mr. Marino has been Town Attorney in Orange for more than two years.

Bridget Albert, Editor of the Orange Bulletin, writes, "Marino said if elected he will work to reduce government spending, seek to revitalize the economy and work to lower taxes... Marino said improving education and public safety will also be top priorities."

The article quotes Orange First Selectman James Zeoli saying, Marino "has always worked to the highest standards as counsel for the town of Orange, working for the people's best interest.'"

Milford Mayor James L. Richetelli Jr. is also quoted on his reaction to the announcement. "Vin Marino understands the needs of the cities and towns in Connecticut," said the Mayor. "I am confident that he will be an outstanding candidate and represent the needs of Milford, Orange and West Haven with distinction."
