German Ghetto Reparations Clinic at Cohen and Wolf's Bridgeport Office
Cohen and Wolf partnered with Jewish Family Service of Greater Bridgeport to offer free legal assistance to local residents who survived the Holocaust and qualify for the latest round of reparation payments offered by the German government. "The German Ghetto Work Payment Program" was created in 2002 to compensate voluntary laborers most of whom were Jewish, who toiled in the ghettos. More than 24 local residents who qualified for the restitution were assisted by Cohen and Wolf attorneys at a Legal clinic on Sunday, September 14th in the firm's Bridgeport office. Associates Rachel Pencu and Jesse Langer coordinated the clinic with JFS with assistance from Faye Dion of Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford.
