Cohen and Wolf Welcomes Three Summer AssociatesBridgeport, CT, June 8, 2007 – Three top law school students have begun work at Cohen and Wolf, P.C. as summer associates. The three students, who are all expected to graduate in Spring 2008, are: Kelly Glasheen of the University of Connecticut School of Law; Sarah Johnston of Boston University School of Law, and Evan Majzner of the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. Cohen and Wolf’s summer associate program is an integral part of our firm," said Irving J. Kern, Cohen and Wolf’s managing partner. "The summer associates play an important role in helping our attorneys serve our clients, while gaining invaluable experience for themselves. Many of our summer associates become full-time attorneys with the firm after graduation." All three summer associates offer their diverse backgrounds and excellent track records both inside and outside of the classroom: Kelly Glasheen is a Symposium Editor of the Connecticut Law Review at UConn Law School. Kelly is also a member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board and has clinical experience at the Criminal Appellate Clinic. She worked in the Maine Attorney General’s office as a Child Protection intern and a Natural Resources intern. Ms. Glasheen received her B.A. cum laude in anthropology and political science from the University of Vermont and was Phi Beta Kappa there. Sarah Johnston is a member of the Edward C. Stone Moot Court at Boston University School of Law. She also serves as director of Legal Follies, co-director of student orientation, and is both a peer advisor to the Career Development Office and a Student Advising Team Leader. Ms. Johnston earned her B.A. with honors from Indiana University in political science and communications. She worked as a law clerk at the Kaplan/Bond Group in Boston, and was one of five fellowship recipients to work as an employee of Indiana Governor Joseph Kernan’s office between college and law school. Evan Majzner serves on the Cardozo Journal for Public Law, Policy and Ethics. He is also a member of the Public Interest Law Students Association and has been honored with a Dean’s Scholarship at the Cardozo School of Law. Evan graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in political science. Mr. Majzner has worked as an advocate for the Holocaust Restitution Claims Practicum and Courtroom Advocates Project, both in New York.
