Cohen and Wolf Attorney David Ball Receives
2007 ADL Daniel R. Ginsberg Leadership Award

Bridgeport, CT, May 15, 2007 - David A. Ball, a principal at Cohen and Wolf, P.C., has been honored by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) with the prestigious Daniel R. Ginsberg Leadership Award. The award is presented annually to outstanding young ADL leaders across the country.

Mr. Ball received the honor at the Anti-Defamation League's annual Washington Leadership Conference (April 29 – May 1). He received the award from Karyn Ginsberg Greenwald, trustee of the award which is given in memory of her late husband, Daniel R. Ginsberg.

"David Ball has been an outstanding advocate of ADL's mission and goals," said David Waren, Regional Director of the Connecticut ADL office. "He has played a leading role in our legislative efforts, including passage of an amendment to Connecticut's hate crime law."

Mr. Ball, who specializes in complex commercial litigation cases, testified before the Connecticut State Legislature in support of the expansion of protected classes under the Connecticut hate crimes statute.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world’s leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

Each year, the ADL gives one or more Daniel Ginsberg Awards to outstanding candidates who have demonstrated knowledge of and a working commitment to the policies and activities of the ADL, as well as the ability to add to the deliberations of the ADL at the national level. Mr. Ball has been on the ADL's Connecticut regional board for the past decade and is a member of the executive committee. He chairs the Hate Crimes and Law Enforcement Task Force.

In addition to his work for ADL, Mr. Ball is active in the Jewish Center for Community Services of Eastern Fairfield County, previously serving on its Board of Directors and chairing the Community Relations Commission and the Allocations Committee.
