Cohen and Wolf Attorneys Neil Marcus & David Grogins Appointed Town Attorneys for Brookfield

Attorneys Neil R. Marcus and David L. Grogins, both principals in the Danbury office of Cohen and Wolf, P.C., have been named as town attorneys for the Town of Brookfield, Connecticut. They were chosen by the Board of Selectman at a meeting on February 1st to serve as town attorneys, following a competitive bidding process. In addition to Brookfield, Cohen and Wolf's Municipal Law Group represents 5 other towns in Connecticut, providing advice and counsel to local boards and commissions, as well as representing the towns in courts and before various government agencies.

Neil R. Marcus practices in the areas of municipal law, commercial real estate, planning and zoning, and family law. He is admitted to practice law in Connecticut; the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Mr. Marcus is a member of the American, Connecticut and Danbury Bar Associations. He served on and chaired the Land Use Committee of the Danbury Bar Association, and served on the Judiciary Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association.

David L. Grogins practices in the areas of municipal law, commercial real estate, and planning and zoning law. He serves as town attorney for the Towns of Newtown (since 1990) and Ridgefield (since 2000). Mr. Grogins served as a member of the Newtown Board of Education and the Board of Tax Review. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. Mr. Grogins is a member of the American, Connecticut and Danbury Bar Associations.
