David B. Zabel 
Principal

DAVID B. ZABEL is a principal in Cohen and Wolf, P.C.'s Employment & Labor, Litigation and Municipal Groups. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Mr. Zabel practices in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. He represents primarily business owners and management, and counsels employers in a wide variety of employment matters, including discrimination and wrongful discharge claims, sexual harassment issues, and personnel policies and procedures. Mr. Zabel also has extensive experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including bankruptcy and insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Zabel appears regularly in both state and federal courts, as well as before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Department of Labor, and other administrative agencies.

Mr. Zabel is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the Greater Bridgeport, Connecticut and American Bar Associations, and the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He was named to the Connecticut Bar Association Pro Bono Honor Roll (2001 to 2005).  He is admitted to practice in Connecticut; New Jersey; U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut; U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey; U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit; and U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.

Mr. Zabel is a member and past chairman of the Fairfield Fire Commission, and a member and past director of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Zabel received his A.B. in 1979 from Brown University and his J.D. in 1982 from the University of Virginia School of Law.
