JOSEPH B. SCHWARTZ is an associate in the Litigation, Securities, Telecommunications & Utilities, and Municipal groups. Resident in the Firm’s Bridgeport office, Mr. Schwartz practices in the areas of business and real estate related litigation, as well as telecommunications and municipal law. Mr. Schwartz also practices in the areas of securities litigation in federal and state courts as well as securities arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Previously, Mr. Schwartz was a law clerk at two Hartford-based firms. While in college, he interned for two summers at The Blackstone Group in New York City, where he contributed to a variety of accounting and forecasting projects.

Mr. Schwartz is admitted to practice in Connecticut. He is a member of the Greater Bridgeport and Connecticut Bar Associations.

He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, magna cum laude, in 2004, from the George Washington University and his J.D., in 2007, from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was a Pudlin Scholar. While at law school, Mr. Schwartz was awarded the CALI excellence Award for Class Performance in Moot Court and served as the Administrative Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
