IRVING J. KERN is the Managing Partner of Cohen and Wolf, P.C. and a principal in the firm's Real Estate, Business & Corporate, Physicians Practices and Trusts & Estates Groups. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Mr. Kern practices in the areas of real estate, business transactions, contracts, corporate, professional corporations, estate planning and probate law. He has extensive experience in all of these areas. Mr. Kern represents buyers, sellers and lenders in connection with real estate and business transactions.

He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut and U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Mr. Kern is a member of the Bridgeport, Connecticut and American Bar Associations.

He is a former president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Bridgeport and of the Jewish Family Services of Greater Bridgeport. He also served as chairman of the Bridgeport Council of Presidents. He is a member of the Board of Associates of Bridgeport Hospital and an active member of the Hospital's Professional and Quality Assurance Review Committee. He previously served as a member of the Fairfield County Commercial Division Regional Advisory Board of Fleet Bank, prior to its merger with Bank of America.

He received his B.S. with high honors in 1968 from the University of Connecticut (Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi), and his J.D. in 1971 from the University of Virginia School of Law.
