Cohen and Wolf, P.C. Welcomes Four New Associates

  • BRIDGEPORT, CT (November 2017) – Cohen and Wolf, P.C., a full-service law firm with offices in Fairfield and New Haven counties, is pleased to welcome four new associates to its team.

    Mr. Paul V. Arce joins the firm’s Real Estate, Business & Corporate, and Physicians’ Practices Groups, and is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office. Mr. Arce's practice encompasses a broad range of real estate and business transactions, including commercial real estate financing, conveyancing and leasing, business agreements, mergers and acquisitions and entity formation.

    Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, P.C., Mr. Arce was an associate at another prominent Connecticut firm, where his practice focused on commercial real estate and finance.

    Mr. Arce earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2015. During law school, he served as an Executive Editor of the Insurance Law Journal and as President of the Tax Law Society. Mr. Arce earned his B.A. from Merrimack College in 2012.

    Mr. Arce is admitted to practice in Connecticut. He is a member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations, as well as both the Real Property and Business Law sections of the Connecticut Bar Association.

    Ms. Tatiana F. DaSilva joins Cohen and Wolf’s Trusts and Estates, Tax and Elder Law groups. She is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport Office where her practice focuses on estate planning, estate administration and elder law.

    Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, Ms. DaSilva was a law clerk for the Honorable Barry R. Schaller and the Honorable Socrates H. Mihalakos at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2016, she published "19 U.S.C. § 1595a(c), The Forfeiture Powers of the United States Government, and Their Effects on Art Market Entities," an article exploring the use of forfeiture powers in art litigation and its resounding effects on art market entities and their interactions with one another.

    Ms. DaSilva earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2016. While in law school, she served as the Lead Articles Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review and was a recipient of the Dean's Fellows Scholarship. Ms. DaSilva earned her H.B.A. and M.A. from the University of Toronto in 2012.

    Ms. DaSilva is admitted to practice in Connecticut, and is a member of the Connecticut and Fairfield County Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Estates & Probate and Elder Law sections of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Fairfield County Community Foundation’s Rising Professional Advisors Council and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

    Mr. Rio Gonzalez joins Cohen and Wolf’s Litigation Group and is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office. Mr. Gonzalez’s practice focuses on labor and employment disputes, municipal matters and complex commercial litigation.

    Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, P.C., Mr. Gonzalez worked as a law clerk for a business immigration law firm in both New York and Boston.

    Mr. Gonzalez earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2017. During law school, he served as Co-President of the Latin American Law Student Association and as Director of the Edward C. Stone Moot Court Competition. He was also the recipient of the Best Brief award in 2015, and received the Dean’s Award in Immigration Law in 2016. Mr. Gonzalez earned his B.A. in English and Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Marist College in 2014.

    Mr. Gonzalez is admitted to practice in Connecticut and he is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.

    Ms. Jordan E. Sala joins Cohen and Wolf’s Litigation Group and is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office. Ms. Sala’s practice focuses primarily on labor and employment law and commercial litigation.

    Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, Ms. Sala served as an extern for the Business and Legal Affairs Division at NBC Sports. She also completed internships at United Technologies Corp. and the Connecticut Secretary of State’s Office.

    Ms. Sala earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2017. During law school, Ms. Sala served on the Executive Board of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, as Chief Administrative Officer of the Student Bar Association, and as President of the Arts, Entertainment and Sports Law Society. She was selected as one of four students to represent UConn Law at the Annual ABA Regional Negotiation Competition. Ms. Sala earned her B.A. in political science and communications from Vanderbilt University in 2013.

    Ms. Sala is admitted to practice in Connecticut. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.
