Barbara Schellenberg Appointed as Editor-In-Chief of the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society Journal
- BRIDGEPORT, CT (February 1, 2016) –Cohen and Wolf, P.C., a full-service law firm with four Connecticut offices, is pleased to announce that Attorney Barbara Schellenberg was recently appointed to be the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society. Ms. Schellenberg began serving on the Board of the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society in 2013.
By Special Act in 2005, the Connecticut legislature authorized the incorporation of the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society. It is a nonprofit corporation with the purpose of promoting and preserving the state’s judicial and constitutional tradition through scholarship, memorials, publications and education. The Society publishes its Journal annually. The Journal is a high quality publication, with circulation around the state to lawyers, judges and historians. The Society also holds an annual meeting with a featured speaker. This year’s annual meeting will take place on Thursday, May 12th, at the Hartford Club.
Ms. Schellenberg is a principal and chair of Cohen and Wolf, P.C.'s Appellate Practice Group. She is also a member of the firm's Land Use & Zoning, Municipal and Litigation Groups. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Ms. Schellenberg has a wide range of experience handling appeals in the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts, as well as experience in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut; the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Ms. Schellenberg received her B.S. from Cornell University in 1981 and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986, where she served as Senior Editor of the Journal of Comparative Business and Capital Market Law.
