Philip C. Pires Named a 2015 New Leader in the Law by Connecticut Law Tribune

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The law firm of Cohen and Wolf, P.C. is pleased to announce that Philip C. Pires has been recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as a “New Leader in the Law” for 2015. Mr. Pires is among 50 attorneys selected for this prestigious award by a five judge panel, who gave scores for each nominee in categories ranging from ‘contributions to the law’ to bar association efforts, pro bono work and peer recognition. Award recipients will be honored at the “New Leaders in the Law” Awards Dinner on Wednesday, November 4th in Hartford.

Mr. Pires practices in the firm’s Litigation, Municipal, and Land Use & Zoning groups, and represents individuals and businesses in a variety of litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, business litigation, real property and title disputes, collection actions, and probate litigation. He also regularly represents municipalities and individuals in commercial and residential property tax appeals, zoning and wetlands enforcement actions, and zoning appeals.

Mr. Pires serves on the Bridgeport Community Board of Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut and on Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting, the legislative body of the Town of Fairfield. Mr. Pires has also been named “RisingStar” by Connecticut Super Lawyers in the category of Business Litigation, each year since 2012. He is honored with an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest such peer review rating available to any individual lawyer.
