Bridgeport/Westport, February 21, 2007 – Cohen and Wolf, P.C., one of Connecticut’s leading law firms, has expanded its real estate practice group with the addition of three experienced attorneys: Rosamond (“Roz”) A. Koether, Leonard C. Blum and Allen J. Rosen. All three join Cohen and Wolf as of counsel. Ms. Koether and Mr. Rosen will also practice in the firm’s Business & Corporate group.

Allan J. Rosen has practiced in Connecticut for more than 45 years. He has extensive experience in the areas of commercial lending and residential and commercial real estate. Mr. Rosen is involved in the negotiation, design and documentation of commercial loan transactions, restructurings and workout arrangements. He has, since 1972, represented financial institutions in all aspects of banking law. He was previously a Principal with the firm of Kleban & Samor in Southport. Mr. Rosen has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of UST Bank/Connecticut, and is the immediate past President of the Housatonic Community College Foundation. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut. Mr. Rosen received his B.A. in 1958 from the University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. in 1961 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Leonard C. Blum concentrates his practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate with particular experience in condominium development. Mr. Blum previously served as of counsel to Kleban & Samor in Southport. Mr. Blum is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. He is the former Chairman of the Fairfield Conservation Commission and the Board of Assessment Appeals. Mr. Blum received his B.S. in 1963 from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. in 1966 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Rosamond A. Koether focuses her practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate and small business. Ms. Koether previously maintained her own practice in Westport. Prior to that, she served as general counsel to a residential real estate company and as president of a real estate title company. Ms. Koether is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, and the U.S. District Court of Connecticut. She received her B.A. in 1986 from Beloit College, and her J.D. in 1991 from Western New England College School of Law. Ms. Koether serves on the alumni council of Greens Farms Academy and is a Justice of the Peace in Westport.
