Cohen and Wolf Attorney Rachel Schwartzman Appointed to Milford Rape Crisis Center Board of Directors
BRIDGEPORT, CT (October 2, 2012) - Rachel A. Schwartzman, an associate in the Litigation and Employment & Labor Groups at Cohen and Wolf, P.C. has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Rape Crisis Center of Milford.
Founded in 1974, the Rape Crisis Center of Milford is a not-for-profit social service agency working to end sexual violence through victim assistance, prevention, education and public policy advocacy. The Center provides services to the towns of Ansonia, Derby, Milford, Orange, Seymour, Shelton, and West Haven.
Ms. Schwartzman received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Hamilton College in 2007 and her J.D., cum laude, from Pace Law School in 2011 where she served as a student editor on the Journal of Court Innovation and president of the Women’s Association of Law Students. While in law school, she was selected as a 2010-2011 Ms. JD Fellow, an honor awarded to twenty second-year students nationwide.
She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, and New Haven County Bar Association.
