MARCIA M. ESCOBEDO is an associate in Cohen and Wolf's Litigation, Employment & Labor and Telecommunications & Utilities Groups. Resident in the firm's Bridgeport office, Ms. Escobedo practices in the areas of commercial litigation, housing, and telecommunications law.
Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, Ms. Escobedo was a staff attorney at the Connecticut Fair Housing Center, a state-wide non-profit organization. While in college, she interned for Travelers Insurance and CIGNA where she contributed to a variety of accounting and forecasting projects.
Ms. Escobedo is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association. In October 2011, Ms. Escobedo was sworn into the U.S. Supreme Court bar. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association's Pro Bono Network, a Hartford Youth Scholar Foundation Mentor and a community volunteer for the New Haven Juvenile Review Board. Ms. Escobedo is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. Escobedo received her B.B.A. in 2006 from George Washington University and her J.D. in 2006 from the University of Connecticut School of Law where she was a Dean's Scholar and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award as well as served as a Fidelity and Surety editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
