C. CHRISTIAN YOUNG is Of Counsel to Cohen and Wolf, P.C. and is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Personal Injury and Criminal law groups. He is resident in the firm’s Bridgeport office.

Mr. Young’s criminal defense practice includes representation of individuals accused of violating state and federal laws ranging from juvenile and student matters, domestic incidents, motor vehicle offenses and controlled substance violations, to assault, embezzlement, trafficking, computer crimes, firearms offenses, and homicide. In matters of personal injury, Mr. Young represents individuals who have suffered injury and loss caused by another’s careless, reckless, or, criminal acts, including motorcycle and motor vehicle accidents, premises defects, negligent supervision, and hazardous conditions. Mr. Young’s civil litigation practice, includes representation of individuals and corporations in commercial, contract, and complex litigation. He also represents individuals in administrative hearings with the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Active in his community, Mr. Young has served two terms on the Ansonia/Milford Grievance Panel (2007-2013).  He is currently serving his second term on the Town of Orange Board of Education where he chairs the Buildings and Grounds/Safety and Security Committee and co-chairs the Board’s Policy Committee.

Prior to joining Cohen and Wolf, P.C., Mr. Young was a partner in the Law Offices of Young and Riccio.

Mr. Young has been recognized by Super Lawyers since 2014 for his work in the area of Criminal Defense.  He is listed as one of Super Lawyers' "Top 50 Connecticut Lawyers" (2017-2018) and "Top 100 New England Lawyers" (2017-2018). He also holds an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Rating, the highest possible Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Young is a member of the Connecticut, Fairfield and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations, and the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the US District Court, District of Connecticut.

Mr. Young received his bachelor’s degree from Calvin College while studying abroad in London, England. He earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law where he represented the University in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition and was recognized for excellence in clinical work, oral advocacy, and the Moot Court Honor Society.
